hmm.. good post Kurupt, and an interesting perspective. I'm not convinced that the brakes have engaged.

I believe that there are just more buyers absorbing the shares at the current price range. $40,000 to $70,000 is not that much money and highly doubtful that it would be just a "someone" playing catcher. If the flow of shares keep dumping at these levels (15M-20M shares a day), you're eventually going to run out of buyers willing to put up cash which in turn will trigger the seller to make those high volume shares available at a lower price to a group of buyers willing to pay for those shares..

It seems to me that similar action occurred at the .004ish range as well, once those buyers were depleted of their capital and the high volume of shares just kept coming, the seller just dropped the Ask to keep them selling.

You could be right though, I'm just not convinced of that theory, I think it's just retail buyers willing to pay the lower price ranges.
