I read that he had completed the purchases but was just waiting on the last deliveries. Sprott certainly is very bullish on gold and silver:

I'm in a real good place now. As I have cut my expenses down to practically nothing. Very little debt, except for some low low interest rate long term notes. Every month I have to sell $1,000 or so of coins...which is easy if you have the good ones.
