There was nothing preventing anyone donating time to help with your son's speech issues. If nobody, not even yourself and your wife, was willing to donate that time or hiring somone, then your demand for more attention for your son comes down to asking for press-ganging someone into helping your son . . . then we are talking about not only paying for the hapless slaves press-ganged into doing it, but also paying for the the whip wielders and the tiers of watchers who watch the lower watchers. Any wonder why education and medicine get awefully expensive when the industries are run on "should's" who have no concept about how people are motivated in a free society and rent-seekers who are all too willing to accommodate the "should's" with someone else' money and press-ganging someone else?
When parents do not have the right to shop around for the best education for their kids, what do you expect? It's not like place holders in public education are much more abusive or more greedy than those in any other garden variety of monopolies.
