This would be under the assumption that MMs have an interest, to concern themselves with hedging, in the first place.
MMs don't take 'positions' in pennystocks merely because their volitility is too unpredictable. If they naked short in the morning, it's 'cause they know they can cover in the aft.
This is not to say that MMs are totally innocent. Only that they receive far more blame than the truth: investors who manipulate, themselves.
