The most important factor here I believe is what the customer wants. The customer does not care about the transcoding costs because they do not have to pay for it. What the customer wants is extremely fast video streaming and html5 provides that, not clipstream g2. Sure clipstream may help companies bottom line by cutting transcoding costs, but it will not be as fast or stable as html5.
