#30317 RE: Slashnuts #30316

Is it possible that many of ICM's infringing customers are pushing for this case to come to an end, perhaps because they are making arrangements to get a more economical system in place? If so, ICM may be seeing the handwriting on the wall and want to close this out with as little of a loss as they can. Hopefully we know in the not too distant future.

Here is the entire wording on a summary judgment. I am sorry Slash but you seem to only post part of it.

How Will GERS' Motion For Summary Judgement Go?

I wonder if one of the most important comments from the judge is any indication as to what will happen?

ICM's defense was said to be, "completely without merit" by the judge.

The GERS legal team acts rather confident they'll win this motion.

GERS: Motion For Summary Judgement, No Trial Needed!

This thing could be over much quicker than most people thought.

"A procedural device used during civil litigation to promptly and expeditiously dispose of a case without a trial. It is used when there is no dispute as to the material facts of the case and a party is entitled to judgment as a Matter of Law."

"The purpose of summary judgment is to avoid unnecessary trials. It may also simplify a trial, as when partial summary judgment dispenses with certain issues or claims. For example, a court might grant partial summary judgment in a personal injury case on the issue of liability. A trial would still be necessary to determine the amount of damages."

"The pleading procedures are extremely technical and complicated, and are particularly dangerous to the party against whom the motion is made."

Good Luck To All!$!$!$!$
