yes some brokers do run promotions like that, but I don't buy the fact that someone would do that for a 1.50 transaction on a worthless subpenny company.
Perhaps someone is trying to sell off their position and instead of an all or nothing, they are selling it in whatever pieces they can get. Maybe the holder has a couple of hundred thousand shares and put the sell order in and said however many you can sell at 0.0001 do it.
I work for a legitimate company that was trying to sell off a position of a company and we had a few million shares. We told the broker just keep selling it if it hits a certain price range. Some days they would sell thousands of shares and some days they could only sell hundreds. One day they could only sell one share. I think similar concept is happening here.
