Yeah, I'm just south of Denver. I've been wondering what kind of winter we'll have this year, considering the insane, record-setting summer we've had. Lived in CO my entire life, and it seems to all run on about a 9yr/10yr cycle. Blizzard of '97, blizzard of '06, drought of '03 and then this year's doozie in '12. Following that logic, we should actually have a very mild winter. The big winter will hit in '15. I've heard about El Nino predictions for decades and not a one has ever really come true. I'm going off of what I've personally witnessed here.

But we will see.

If up want 85% accuracy on long range weather forecasting check out a site called weatheraction.com or YouTube weatheraction1.
Piers Corbyn (i believe that is his name), is an Astro physicist and does long range forbearing based on the suns magnetic pulses and sun storms. It's amazing info if you can sit through it all. Kinda boing but good stuff.
