Comprehensive Care Corporation $CHCR Names Colonel Ramon Martinez Senior Management Advisor To Maximize its Market Share with New Pharmacy Initiatives
TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Comprehensive Care Corporation ("CompCare" or the "Company") (OTC BB: CHCR), which provides behavioral health, substance abuse and psychotropic pharmacy management services, has retained Ramon Martinez, a U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, retired, and leading figure in public management at state, national and international levels, as senior advisor to the Company's management. Colonel Martinez will spearhead the development and implementation of a Company mission, vision and strategy design, integrating the Company's behavioral health program with its innovative pharmacy cost containment program. The goal of this initiative is to maximize the Company's market share in both behavioral health and pharmacy management.

Colonel Martinez served a twenty-year military career in the regular component of the US Air Force, climbing the ranks to become Combat Crew Commander, Test Director and Program Manager of Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles; Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the US Air Force Academy; Deputy Secretary of the Inter-American Defense Board; US National Defense Fellow; Chief of Latin American Strategy of US Southern Command; and Interim Director of the US Southern Command Washington Field Office. He currently serves as senior consultant for XTek Solutions, a national and international consulting firm that uses advanced techniques to empower customers to sustain healthy growth.
Colonel Martinez earned a Master of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a Master's degree in public administration from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and geography from California State University at Long Beach.
Colonel Martinez entered the private sector as Vice President at Genetics & IVF Institute in Fairfax, VA, later served as Assistant Director of Strategic Planning at the South Florida Workforce Board, adjunct professor of philosophy at Miami-Dade Community College, and as a consultant working on Homeland Security issues. He also served as president/CEO of Progreso Latino, Inc., the state of Rhode Island's flagship Latino empowerment agency and largest bilingual, multi-cultural community based organization.
Colonel Martinez is recipient of the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce of Rhode Island Community Leader of 2009; National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Providence Branch Thurgood Marshall Award of 2008; 2008 Service Person of the Year Award of Sigma Nu Chapter Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and The Providence Phoenix Newspaper Local Hero of 2008. He is vice chair and co-founder of the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Mayoral Academies, and was lauded by the US Secretary of Education as a nationally unique paradigm for public education excellence with a mayor-led regional network of public charter schools serving underserved students. He served as a Trustee of Women and Infants Hospital and the Board of Directors of Clinica Esperanza/Hope Clinic, a free health clinic for the uninsured and underinsured of Rhode Island.
