Or the Swedes for that matter. Why? Tbh, I don't think any of these cash rich CEO's, especially in China, care much about the money. They want to build a succesful business and be remembered for their achievements.
If Solomon gets this right then he will gain respect worldwide. He will be one of a very few who will be known for actually sharing profits with his shareholders. The potential is enormous if he sticks to his plan of huge dividends and spin-offs. He will give new meaning to the concept of creating shareholder value. He could be the man in 2015. We all win, or we all lose. It is up to him.
Now I feel that's a very misplaced question. I fully feel your pain and disillusion with Chinacams as I still hold 22,000 shares of CCME (!1) and a similar amount of WKBT. But that doesn't justify the question you asked.
You could ask the same question to Bill Gates or Steve Jobs (or any other CEO) why they decided to take their company and "share their profit" with the many non Americans who live continents away be it Africans, Europeans or Chinese. Not b/c of love I guess lol. You sure know why they did it.
Globalizatioin is everywhere. American capital markets also happen to be the largest. And listing is a bit more difficult in the homeland country/China. So it is all about access to capital to grow their business.
And to state another inaccurate post of yours, high growth companies DO dilute at not so great P/E ratios.
Since you believe this is going to zero, why didn't you sell when you were at breakeven? Or now for that matter.
