Son: If I was Laura, I'd drop the suit and renegotiate in person, without Global IP. One of the patents was less than a month old when she filed suit. It begs the question how much time she spent selling the new patent before giving up. 5 days? It takes at least two weeks to paper an IP suit.

Global IP told me they have never licensed a patent application so you know they were waiting for the patent publication to begin the process. So they had maybe 5 days to present before they had to prepare the suit to file before the 10K.

son: Apple and Samsung did not settle. So you would settle an infringement suit against your company because an unrelated case, with entirely different issues in question, did not settle?

I am not following. Would you do that if you were the CEO of NeoMedia? Anyone files an infringement suit = settle.
