MRothaus. Options are currently 12% of portfolio. I have spread them out amongst 7 different securities and have multiple maturities/prices on top of that so not worried about diversification at this point. I have not set a top end for total percentage of my portfolio.
If TGA hadn't jumped this morning, I was going to sell 1/4 of that and move that money into options. That would have boosted my options to 17% of my portfolio. Probably on the high end of where I want to be.
The leverage is very tempting, especially since my position on energy has been basically correct so far. However I recognize the volatility and lack of the security of the underlying stock. Bobwins
