It's about 400-700Kbps. That's not bad. Most of us use 1Mb down and 128Kb up. I think the price is about $60 per month, way too much. I pay $49 for BB from Adephia at one house and $49 from Time Warner at another. That, on top of the basic TV service adds up to a lot, maybe >$200 per month.

I think there's a crunch coming and I would welcome a cheaper (but not less services) plan. Maybe that's WiMax... if so, I'd guess that there's a LOT of money in it for Intel...

3G WAN is not that bad. It has enough bandwidth to handle broadband Internet, but that's about it. It doesn't come close to the bandwidth of today's wireless LANs.
