Bill,
The demo was not a PPT nor a cartoon...lol.
It was a film narrated by a speaker (not sure who the voice was) showing two NUNCHI equiped phones interacting and then the speaker explained how the info went thru Verizon's 3G Network to servers in EDIG's lab for processing, clasification and storage.
They showed a sampling of "selective, automated, social networking" in which the 2 phones had specific contact lists where only those contacts you wish to receive texts, emails or calls during your available times and the others would get an auto reply being unavailable, "in a meeting, driving, at dinner with family etc" and specific emergency contacts where all communication was allowed. Typically this would be one's spouse and kids. They also in the demo gave examples of how sensors played a part. Someone sitting much closer to the screen than me said the 2 phones were Samsung models as he could see the brand name. I never followed up on that nor does it mean anything or matter.
Fred told me in a visit Dec 13 when I brought up the demo with questions, employees and selected family members all have NUNCHI equiped phones owned and suppliied by the company for testing. They did this right up front to gather data from normal use that anyone would be doing on a daily basis. He said we want practical applications to further develope the tech. I asked to participate with a company phone..."sorry Joe, I cannot do that" with a LOL...
So, yes...a physical product.
