They have plenty of funding. He just does not want to go outside of the people already involved with ANTs to get it. If they have to, then they will.
With the fact he already financed his own work up to this point. I think it is 99.9% sure he will follow up to make sure he gets his money back. At his level of knowledge, finance, etc. Would you pay all that he has, move the company, his time, etc. all just to let it wash away because they didn't have 625K ? That is pennies to these guys. He is just looking for someone in house to pick it up.
