Maybe he has strict orders to not break the speed that the pace car sets well after the race starts... just continue along at 55mph nice and relaxed listening to "Easy Like Sunday Morning" until he is lapped. It will make ESPN's not top 10 and when they question him on it he can say Koma Unwind made him so relaxed he didnt realize the race started BOOM national exposure ;)

You need to look at the larger picture. It's not limited to only when the cars are running at full speed around the track. Every time they pit, the ads get noticed. Every time a picture is taken of the car before, during and after the race, the ads get noticed. Then those pictures get circulated around the internet and other forms of media.

It may not be like a 2 minute commercial during Superbowl halftime, but then again nothing is. These small incremental ads increase exposure, and when you're dealing with TV and the millions of race fans in this country, every effort counts. It all adds up in the end.
