I don't know the financial situation with cgi. The majority of major mining companies are looking to the juniors to do most of the prelimary work for them. One big problem is that as the industry has contracted (mergers, buyouts, etc) the remaining companies require bigger and bigger mines to support them. I work at a 1200 ton/day mine and we are considered too small by my company, they want 4-6,000 (underground) tons/day to be happy.

At one time the mill had a gold refinery in place, so it is possible that they will still have to ship other concentrates (lead, zinc, copper) to a smelter somewhere.
