Call TD ameritrade. You can open account there and do partial transfer, you should ask for free trades to do it. No cost to transfer and like allbetson

You will not have to sell your shares into the market and then repurchase them in a TDA account, if that is what you are thinking. Just transfer the securities from one account to the other. Just be sure the names on the accounts match exactly.

I never heard about rebuy as you stated. Talk to them. It will be easy and IMHO they are the best.
