SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2003--Transmeta Corporation (Nasdaq:TMTA - News) today announced that the company's energy efficient Crusoe TM5800 processor has been selected by Viglen® Ltd. for its eXaro(TM) Tablet PC in the United Kingdom. Viglen, which was founded in 1975 and is part of Learning Technology PLC, is one of the largest and most successful direct PC manufacturers in the United Kingdom. As a major solution supplier to the corporate, education and public sectors, Viglen provides information technology hardware, software and technical support to two-thirds of Britain's universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
The Viglen eXaro Tablet PC, powered by a 933 MHz Crusoe TM5800 processor, does not require a cooling fan and features a highly flexible design suitable for multiple computing environments.
