Polls are more meaningful in, say, Sept/Oct...what the Obama admin is doing these days - very effectively, imo - is defining Romney before the nation has a chance to know him. During the dog days of summer only political junkies are paying attention...after the Labor Day holiday in the States, avg voters begin to hone in on the campaign - by then Romney will be well-defined.

An interesting question for pollsters after Labor Day would be to ask LIKELY VOTERS...What ONE word would you use to define Mitt Romney? (perhaps give a choice of 3 words - some examples: secretive, businessman, distrustful).
