He was President of Intrepid Potash (NYSE: IPI). IPI is the largest US potash company with a $1.75 billion market cap. You're right that he left when his academic resume from a couple decades prior weren't accurate (i.e. he attended the university but did graduate). Definitely an integrity question. Probably not relevant to how he operates a mining business. I think a board of directors ultimately has the corporate governance responsibility over a CEO. I've done some research on the PGRX board of directors. They seem to have excellent credentials. They can oversee this CEO. I also read an 8K that they hired a COO recently with a serious background. I am doing some more DD. I like the chance that this could be the next IPI. My DD on the SEC filings so far is it is larger than IPI. Doing more research.
