I was hired in Jan 2008 and was deployed for a year in late Oct 2008, therefore had 10 months in the job.

Although your question is personal, I lost nearly 100k due to EI.

As for pursuing EI, one cannot get blood from a turnip. There are no resources from where I could or could have pursued EI.

I do not have recent mutual communications with Clint, Donna or Nick. Although I am not pleased at the company's demise, I hold no ill will towards them or anyone else, my nature and character forbid me from doing so. It is water under the bridge and I have far more pressing and important matters before me.

However, if the SEC were to ever contact me, I would be honest and straightforward with what I did know.

As a publicly traded company they were under legal obligation to be forthcoming and honest to shareholders, including accuracy on press releases or announcements of major personnel changes or layoffs.

I have no comment on your last statement as it sounded rather sarcastic.
