Those that have been around for a while know that I used to
carry in two DTR laptops with me daily. That's about 20 pounds
of gear when you add in the power supplies, adapter cards,
external disk, cables and extra mouse.

Add in the first aid stuff that I usually carry, knife, lunch, phone, mp3 player, papers and a gym bag and you have quite a bit
of weight day in and day out.

These days I just carry one DTR as our kids grabbed one of my
DTRs. So I grabbed one of their really old notebooks and just
leave it in the office. It leaves me short a machine at home
though (I normally use at least two machines most of the time)
so I may go back to carrying two.
