First and foremost, loves his job and loves Louisville.
A couple weeks ago, I mentioned to Mo, the 2 things he's going to have to get used to, are the brutal hours and loneliness.
Bingo on both counts.
He pretty much works all 3 shifts. Dayshift, PM's and nights every week. That is screwy. He's also the youngster on job. The older guys have families and do family stuff on their off time.
He is very meticulous with organizing himself.
Very responsible with his new found wealth. Figuring out budgeting, saving, 401k type stuff.
When the kids were little, we gave them small sums of earned money. Had them set up a few jars. The 10% jar never got spent. Period.
They had the main jar and also the "fun money" 10% jar to absolutely waste on anything they wanted with no strings attached.
Funny thing, I think that one grew the biggest. LOL. Never had to deal with them whining in line at the grocery store. When they wanted something, said sure thing. Buy 2. You brought your fun money, right?! Oops! D'oh! It worked out well. If we allotted $$ for neccessities and they wanted "nicer" neccessities, they had to budget/save for it.
He's also squaring away the DMV stuff. We had to transfer the title of the car to him. Sold it to him for a dollar, but the state has their hand out for sales tax and they use book value. How many times can you get taxed on the same car?? If he sold it tomorrow, the next guy would get taxed!
It's a one year lease on the apartment. Guess what it sounds like outside with a hospital near by? Sirens. Maybe a short stay at this place?? That wouldn't surprise me. Really find out about a place, after you move in. His air conditioner works fine. He suffered through the college at Southern Illinois with no AC.
His girlfriend has one more year of college and it sounds like she's warming up to the Louisville idea.
