Well it would not be good for the economy to lose 1000s of jobs due to mines closing. I believe there intent is not to put coal out of business but for sure are not opening doors fro new companies. Coal is much much to important IMO to just disappear. It would take many decades. We have cars that run on water and electricity that does not mean fossil fuels will be replaced anytime soon. There is an infrastructure already in place and if they hammer it our economy would just be hurt even further. Politics has huge hand in everything. So all we can do is take advantage of there words and spur of the moment seasonal decision making.
