gonna end up being 21 months in the making, all told, from the initial definition of the concept of the build and go-ahead -- good ride, not at all harsh -- smooth idle, very easy to drive, very well-mannered, throttle's very nicely progressive (the C5 [mine's an '02] was I believe the first car with a 'fly-by-wire' throttle), take it nice and easy and it's totally predictable, nothing untoward happens -- clutch pedal's not at all heavy, actually surprisingly light (triple-disk with 7 friction surfaces rated to over 1700 HP) -- in all, perfectly fine for just running around town doing errands, no real bother even getting stuck in creep-and-crawl traffic -- and should do aoa 25 mpg just easing down the highway at about 1700 rpm at 70 mph -- great over-the-road machine -- absolutely effortless cruise -- and the 'just knowing it's there' part, of course; if I can see it, I can do it -- . . .
and it just sounds so damned good -- probably my favorite part of all, lol
