how true...thats why this dream of friendly financing will be very interesting on how its explained. Behind the scenes though..there isn't a financier friendly or not who looks the other way from all the data and facts. If anyone stepped up it would be with a plethora of changes and bullet proof boiler plated expectations the likes of which I'm not sure the current CEO could work with given the ego factor you speak of. It maybe such a thing that given his track record and performance and he is considered as a possibility of a CEO or another title more appropriate ..he may be working purely on a performance basis. He may get a small base salary but but his real pay would have to be based on changes created to reflect real positive performance measures.
IMO..I would go out on an executive search and find a consumer products marketing guru and I would pay this guy well and I would also give him a performance bonus structured to pay him an incentive that would choke a horse and give him an incentive to really get the job done.
