Fear not! For those of you who want to see cannabis taken out of the hands of the Department of Revenue armed regulatory agents and end the long compliance nightmare that is making it impossible for anyone but the very rich to participate in Colorado's highly-regulated cannabis industry (oligopoly), the Legalize2012.com campaign is working to write a "true legalization" ballot initiative for the November 2012 ballot that will guarantee more reasonable regulations.

Did you see where Uruguay is headed on the legalization issue?....Here's a link to a WASHINGTON POST article.....the story is starting to find more reporting ink....

All people I have met.....who have visited Uruguay give it glowing reports.....may be worth hearing.....

CNN did a nice story about this same issue the other day.....

The U.S. will get in trouble if they don't reassess their cannabis policy, that is becoming ever more clear now.

First off, the import of hemp products from China among others is economically unfavorable and puts them in a dependant position.

Second, with the rising protests of groups like Anonymous, the Occupy movement, the Zeitgeist movement, the cannabis legalisation/decriminalization movement etc... which are becoming increasingly interlinked and cooperative through social media/networks, the resistance to their position is rising and less pocketed/fringe and their stance is simply becoming untenable.

Third, there's the dramatic surge of positive scientific studies being reported on the huge array of medicinal benefits of cannabis and its constituents, which are getting more frequent and more significant mainstream media coverage. When you're talking about killing cancer, inhibiting AIDS and easing the pain of war veterans, propaganda will not work anymore.

Fourth, there's global warming and the coming global peak oil crisis which will put increasing pressure on the U.S. to start investing in less oil-based pharmaceuticals, fuels, plastics, chemicals etc...

We all know where this is inevitably heading. The only question is when, not if. The only way is forward, looking backwards is self-destruction.

To regain control and reassert its dominance, there is only one way for the U.S. to go. And positive changes in the scheduling of cannabis and its constituents will make it far easier for CBIS to make significant achievements, get funding and other resources, reduce administrative and legal burdens and opposition among a host of other positive changes.
