WhiteCanyon Launches The First Secure Data Destruction Tool for Apple’s Operating System iOS
WipeDrive Mobile Enterprise is the first tool to securely erase all data on an iPhone or iPad device
Paris, July 4, 2012. WhiteCanyon Software today announced the availability of WipeDrive Mobile Enterprise. This is the first tool to securely overwrite all data on an iPhone or iPad device and comes with the certified audit log that confirms the data has been removed. With its WipeDrive product suite WhiteCanyon is the world leader in data destruction technology. WipeDrive Mobile is powered by the same secure data erasure process as the world’s only Common Criteria EAL4+ certified wiping tool WipeDrive. The Common Criteria standard is recognized in 26 countries.
The new wiping tool WipeDrive Mobile Enterprise is capable of wiping up to 32 devices simultaneously for incredibly fast processing. WipeDrive Mobile authenticates that the wipe process was completed correctly by generating a signed audit certificate. Handling is also very easy, as you just have to plug the iPhone or iPad into the USB slot.
According to recent research1 commissioned by BT more than 80 per cent of IT managers are convinced that enterprises with a “Bring your own Device” policy hold a competitive advantage over other organization. But 39 per cent of respondents already registered at least one security incident. This poses great risk because these mobile devices have extremely sensitive information on them including customer records, financial information, intellectual property and employee records.
