That is inevitable. It is already happening.

DDD thinks they can work something like the ipad/iphone selling downloadable vector programs. It may work to start, but I'm not so sure long term. They are buying up other companies to make sure they have a shot of pulling it off.

Who knows, but I think we are a few years away and DDD will do well just selling 3D printers.
