Its quite possible thae "WE" don't hear anything re block 1 drilling for a few month but SNP would be getting metre by metre updates and our first clue may be leaks or announcements from the JDA re phase 2.
If it turns out that SNP did not drill deep enough then some of the blame lies with ERHC too. SNP was not an experienced driller and ERHC made the humongous mistake of having nobody technically competent on staff when drilling decisions were made. Would a technically competent ERHC made a difference in what SNP did? We will never know but I think it was another major blunder by Ntephe to not have several geolgists voicing their input on behalf of ERHC as is the norm in these type of JV partner situations. Being a non-operating company is one thing but being technically ignorant on key drilling issues is another.
And no this is not Monday morning quarterbacking. I said it at the time and I am saying again now.
