"That would be something if adding bavi to docetaxel for second-line patients could extend survival as much as for first-line patients."

I can't find it, but didn't someone recently ask Dr. Thorpe whether bavi would be more effective in first-line or chemo naive patients compared to much sicker patients? And his answer was that he believed it would work similarly in either? Maybe somebody has that information.

Free, these tables really help us organize a lot of comparative information as we think about the possibilities in the maturing trials. Thanks.

FTM,

"That would be something if adding bavi to docetaxel
for second-line patients could extend survival as much as for first-line patients."

Could it be that front line treatment gets more benefit from the toxic chemo that attacks the tumor while bavi adds a small benefit by masking Ps and signalling the immune system. In 2nd line, chemo is less effective due to mutation and less target area, but more Ps is exposed, especially in the major patient killing metastises. So, bavi plays a bigger role? Just asking.

Couple of comments for the board.

1. SK once explained how Shelly F. has saved the company a boatload of money and the company has received immeasurable benefits by having an in-house patent attorney. I'm in the camp that the new legal hire was brought in to save on fees and develop continuity as the company embarks on a series of deals. First deal is the hardest. Then cookie cut the subsequent and add-on deals. Seems kind of funny to me that he's already been tarred and feathered because he did some jobs he was contracted to to. As always, just my opinon. But, I'm taking this as a good sign.

2. On the Russel stuff and trading on Friday, the best thing is that it's behind us. It's been clear for anyone paying any attention that PPHM was high on the list of companies that probably wouldn't make it this year. Say your a muppet killer like Goldman Sachs, what would you do with this information. Heck, I'd short the sucker and push the price down as far as I could. Then, I'd turn around and buy the shares back - probably from my own Russel clients. Heck, maybe I can even get my clients to contract me to sell their shares at an average price - and average price that I can push down without risk since I've been contracted to handle my clients transaction. Sounds slimy right? Think it doesn't happen?

The Russel rebalancing, like option expiration days, gives lots of cover for some wild trading. It's where the big boys with their algo's and inside info, excel. The game is rigged. And you guys can gripe about Swartz all you want, but he's not in the league of the muppet masters that really call the shots. Like many have said, the game doesn't change until the first deal. After a settling period, it'll be game on again. Then the next deal.......

3. Several on here wanted the shorts to get squeezed prior to the Russel rebalance. Nice thought, but too dangerous. The big boys have huge bankrolls and the ability to crush PPHM if they tried to get fancy. Best strategy was to get Russel behind us and then get a deal done. So, data is congealing, Russel shenanegans are behind us and a new "deal" lawyer joins the fold. Oh yea, and with the severely depressed share price, selling shares is too expensive. So, the deal targets are squeezing PPHM and PPHM is trying to squeeze back by delivering great data. With great data and competitive bidders, PPHM has a good hand. Should be a good, competitive game to watch. Maybe they should list a proposed deal on eBay.

4. Some numbers that make you go hmmmmmmm. With a market cap around $50 million, is Avid really worth $70-100 million? I think it is if it is unbound from PPHM and run as a stand alone business. So, if you believe this, PPHM's cash, bavi estate and cotara estate are worth a negative $20-50 million. Sounds like a dislocation to me.

Our new legal guy is going to make more than $300k per year. At current share prices, it'll take close to 1 million shares of ATM to support this guy. That's a heavy price to pay for a guy who's just here to protect the board, complete pipes and help the BOD run the share price into the ground so they can transfer ownership to that mysterious evil shareholder in the sky.

All my opinions of course. Game on.

Regards,

WH
