..Captain..I think you met most of the Capstone people..mostly positive..right?
Yes. I met or heard from most of the Officers and BOD during the Annual Stockholders Meetings I attended. They are extremely positive.
I remember CEO Jamison stating a few years ago, after a stock holder commented hotly about not reaching Postive Gross Margins and a following pps drop after the 4Q, that he was not interested in following stock traders' interest in quick profits. He was only interested in stable growth of CPST in a safe and solid manner for the long run(I paraphrase here).
He said he could manipulate production to show profits, but it would would come back and hurt the company.
He also reminded investors that he(Jamison) is in the same boat with every other investor as he holds(now) 606,414 shares himself, and he wants to make profits on them like everyone else.
The Board members are also extremely positive and confident. I think it would benefit everyone here to review the Annual Report( not the CC or SEC filing) to see that all of the Officers' bonuses are given only by attaining specific, positive company goals in their own areas of expertice, such as Gross Positive Margins, profitability, reduction in production costs, etc.
If goals are not reached there are no bonuses, and that has happened in 2010, I believe. One bonus was offered to Jamison upon reaching Positive Gross Margins, as it had not been attained before. A second and larger bonus was offered by achieving GPM 2 quarters in a row. Now CPST has done it 4 quarters in a row.
The Annual Stockholders Meeting should happen around August 26th, after the 1Q report around Aug 9th. New goals set and old ones met or missed will be published there.
In my opinion Officers and Directors are dedicated to the growth and success of CPST, not just immediate profits. They don't manipulate the reports to make them look better than they are, and they own up honestly to the short comings and problems that they have to overcome and report them for all to see. I see them and understand them.
This straight forward honesty has always cause me to like CPST and has given me confidence in the company's Officers and BOD, and the continous improvement in growth has only reinforced it, regardless of analysts predictions, specially the downgrade by the newest analyst of CPST's 5, FBR. (The 4 other longer established analysts haven't reduced their projections so far.)
Those with short term memories of CPST's developement often bash Jamison regarding his pay and bonuses, but when CPST reaches profitability and stays there, they will be touting all the Officers' abilities and the BOD's insights.
