NJ, quick question.

In your post on "Tobacco Settlement Discussions" you stated:


"With the Supreme Court briefs now submitted, I think this type of scenario (or some variation thereof) is possible at any time. Keep an eye on the stock price for huge spikes on no news (I'm talking spikes of 1-2 dollars, not .30-.50)."

My question is there a reason why you believe that with the submission of the briefs, the door is now open for settlement? Why would RJR (and other Big T) simply not wait for the final nail in the coffin? If Altria or another Big T decided to get the jump and sign, wouldnt they then be taking on the risk (even if its small) of the Supreme court hearing the case?

I like your logic, lets hope Big T agrees. Thanks
