#106908 RE: Mccpingins #106902

I will be interested to see IF the company makes some sort of statement today. I've been surprised that they hadn't issued some sort of public comments to defuse all the rumors and conspiracy theories in the past. But for the most part, in the past, what's been posted is either speculation based on DD, summaries of conversations with company officials where they didn't confirm/deny anything, or info obtained from "people in the know" but names were not provided. A company can't continually respond to everything. BUT NOW, there are actually names of prominent individuals, either currently serving as board members and/or previous employees, being posted explicitly linking them to some incredible stories and accusations. The implications no longer even seem limited to securities and stock manipulation, but with people claiming they are in hiding due to threats and fears for their lives, its now sounding criminal. Also, people's reputations, never mind just the company's, could now be damaged with the info posted over the last 24 hrs, even if not true.

So, can the company afford to just let this fester? Can they just leave this info out there without some effort at damage control?
