My dad was a design engineer on this project...so you can say oil s definitely in my blood as well. Oil industry is showing some hiring down here in the Houston area...but man, those high paying jobs are coveted. Late brother Muaythai who worked on offshore rigs in the Java sea as a teenager, went on to become a US marine, and ended his days working on a dive boat/supply boats here on the gulf. The Chigago politician in the White house hasn't been DA KINE to the oil industry, after Breakwater Horizon blew it's topsides off...then then govt. interference in the Keystone pipeline. What's up with that? Does Obama think we need to add only govt. jobs here in US??? Can't say I'm thrilled with the prospect of giving the Bain Capitalist the job in the White House. I think we're screwed either way. S_P
