I agree that that is a good question... Maybe it has something to do with copyright. I gather that the Cactus name started in the Lloyd family, but the Kaiser family bought them out... not sure about the particulars.
For example, there still is one Standard Oil (actually Chevron) station, just to keep others from adopting the Standard Oil name. I will add the "why" question (i.e., why was the Cactus Drilling name chosen for the entity, given that Kaiser-Francis Oil already was using the name for its drilling LLC?) to the other two questions listed in post #6378 (http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=76443511). I plan to put the open-ended questions to SIOR when we are done here.
