The Imperial project is optioned to North Springs Resources, and is located in Esmeralda County, NV, approximately 60 kilometers southwest of the town of Tonopah, and 300 kilometers northwest of Las Vegas, in the Railroad Springs mining district. It is currently available for option. The property consists of 24 mineral claims covering approximately 480 acres between the Montezuma Range to the northeast and the Silver Peak Range to the southwest. The project area hosts a small resource of gold mineralization that is near surface and amenable to heap leaching.
The previous lessee completed a two stages of drilling in the Railroad Springs mining district near Goldfield, Nevada. A total of 21 holes were completed, primarily targeting a shallow "Carlin style" target in the eastern portion of the property and high-grade veins of the Imperial Mine.
Of the results received to date the most encouraging is from hole IR-22, which contained 30 feet of mineralization averaging 0.081 oz/ton gold starting at the surface. This hole identifies the location of a northeast trending feeder fault and indicates strong potential to the southwest which is untested. Previous work indicates this mineralization is suitable for heap leaching, a low cost mining method.
