Hi Spec. I see your point and I want to address something that has been nagging at me.

Mr. Smith et all did not buy Flotec to ultimately fail. Perhaps their due diligence regarding the company was not adequate or perhaps the economy helped send it south or it may have been a combination of the two. Whatever ultimately led to Flotec becoming an albatross around Deep Down's neck, the purchase demonstrated that management was attempting to expand the scope of the company away from merely being an "iron shop."

I have more to add but I must get to projects.

As for repetitive and myopic, that is why the term 'dead horse' is around. Too bad it gets directed at you at times (sarcasm/negativity). I don't think it is meant to be personal. I try to stay away from that.

The repetition at least allows an outlet for people that obviously got heavily burned investing with the company. So hopefully you can view it that way. Different people react differently to losing money with investments.

I very much appreciate your knowledge of the industry and info- much like JoeSmith- and can undertsand if you feel less than encouraged to share with others (like me) when we come across as annoying/repetitive, etc.


Like I said, still hoping the company is on verge of turning things around even in the face of historical results/problems.

They've divested a lot of unprofitable fat and have a core that if it can grow could become a decent cash engine. Of course Gene has gone thru this cycle before with Weatherford decades ago so hopefully we get a similar result.

PS- I'll try to listen to CC again and see if it was in there. Also to note about CC (as previously mentioned), Gene's mention of a chunk of revs falling into Q2 should have you looking forward to Q2 correct? I think we'll see a healthy Q2 report.

Darn, CC just expired on website as of yesterday so guess I'll try to email IR.

PS- great, just got email returned as undeliverable to IR ([e-mail]). Might be the formating on my computer or something? Dunno, I'm computer illiterate. Oh well, will try to figure something out maybe just a phone call next week.

If anybody remembers if CC had clarity on that (the equipment), I was just curious what it was. TIA.
