I posted about NSF on Friday. Perhaps one on Sat and Sun? Why? Because it is the most recent news that has the potential to impact the company. That is why I talked about NSF on Friday.... it, in my opinion, is a black eye on the company. I know many of you have chosen to rally around the idea that NSF is now an evil empire and worthless (while wearing the NSF flag on your backs just a few short days ago), but that is more comical than anything relevant to MSLP.
In regards to MSLP competing with NSF. First, does it make sense that a competing organization would accredit it's competitors as being superior in any facet? The whole notion of NSF, JD Powers, BBB or any other body like that is that it is a third party, outside, organization that is outside the competitive sphere that is providing consumers with a sense of quality and credibility (whether they do is a different debate). Credibility is an issue at MSLP. I just don't think, while they are selling product, that it is in the realm of possibility that they would choose to do this. If they did, I am pretty sure they would be a laughing stock. We are talking about a federal criminal.... that was just convicted of misrepresenting a product... as potentially becoming an entity that dispenses credibility? It does not hold water with me from both a financial sense as well as a realistic sense. Perhaps I am wrong, but I don't think so.
I will go back to talking about apparel any day of the week, as it seems like such a blindingly stupid and ridiculous arrangement for any company to be in.... but no need to rehash it unless you want to.
I would be ok with talking about when they are giving the shares back. Both the ones illegitimately given from the accounting problems and the bonus in general. Not really news though.
What else. Yup... so sales is good and improving. They are an industry leader. They are raking in the cash. They have all these awesome people representing them.... They are doing X, Y, and Z to demonstrate that they are great... and they really are great in some respects.
You know what they can do to make me believe the hype....
