Yep your right, I run adds on FB and Google, google gets a ton of clicks per month, I always run out of money (you set a monthly limit) about 3 weeks in. Now FB, I have been running adds for about a year now, they only charged me two times that I can think of, that is two clicks ;-) I keep the add up, people say they see it, they say they are not on FB to click adds and will google something to find info about a business.
