when i was in columbia..out in the back country..on native indian land..they filled the gourd with crushed..claimshells..and then they would spit on a stick dip it in the gourd..get some clam sheels on the stick..put a load of coco leaves in there mouth..and use the stick to mix the clam shells and the cacao leaves in there mouth..no deb..they wouldnt let me try it
