LL- And therein lies the crux of the matter. Even IF edig is correct in its infringement contentions and prevails it will take until at least the middle of 2013 to collect enough money from licenses to appreciate the share price because it is an absolute certainly that when it comes to IP licensing you MUST have a successful Markman ruling. I do not want to conclude these things it is just the reality of the situation. EDIG has not even had it that hard when it comes to the fight you can expect when you try to take somebody elses money. PTSC has 17 reexams filed on their patents. It took them from mid 2006 until 2 months ago to resolve them with the USPTO and like EDIG the reexams were initiated by infringers they were trying to extract license fees from.

LL - I have no idea why they didn't appeal it - maybe they thought they could get around it...

I do believe your business analysis is spot on - the discussion about the case being poorly written - although a good one is secondary to what happens now or next, and how the heck EDIG management is going to get the darned PPS up to a reasonable level -

Why the heck hasn't EDIG started another division with the 3 million they earned through the settlements? A department or division to actually sell something else - like anything else?

Why does the company keep focusing on litigation as their sole source of income?

These are the issues - not some old decision per se...Anyway I think they will get a positive result on 774 and I really HOPE the PPS will go up with that - we will see....
