#267613 RE: phoenix69 #267610

Good post Phoenix. And a very honorific bottom line. Let's see where these next patent announcements takes us. Exactly a year ago, we were at .23. I was convinced, as I have been many times previous, it was a beginning, but the following Monday disproved me.
Enjoy your beach at the waves.

phoenix: Yes, we need some news. Any significant news.

Nobody has "argued" that the two new pending patent applications are "broadest of all."

One of the patent applications imagines a world that doesn't exist - as you noted later in your post. The imaged world is that everyone uses indirect coding.

The second will print a coupon when your concert ticket is scanned by a mobile device at an event. Sweet. Long felt need.

NeoMedia's portfolio of indirect patents are not in the "arguable range" of the popular directly coded campaigns. They are the polar opposite of each other. That is why all the CEOs of NeoMedia have made efforts to point out that managed direct was a bad idea. Including Laura. So it makes little sense to anyone in the industry that NeoMedia would own patents to the nonproprietary system they have bashed for 17 years.

NeoMedia's patents have "never been defeated in a court of law" because NeoMedia settled before it went to trial.
