There are 350+ brands of resveratrol. With 40-50 suppliers of the ingredient.
There are only two suppliers of pterostilbene I could find. CDXC and your place. The USDA was granted patents for the strain of ptero CDXC now owns and controls.

Chromadex's USDA patented nature-identical version of pterostilbene, titled pTeroPure, is the main ingredient in their BluScience dietary supplement line, which currently brings in the majority of their revenue.

The chemical was carefully chosen over its close cousin resveratrol, after the lab determined several benefits over the latter. For one, resveratrol is less oil-soluble than pterostilbene, meaning it has lower potential for cellular uptake. Resveratrol is also less bio-available, with far worse oral adsorption and less metabolic stability. In addition, one of the biggest downsides to resveratrol is that it has an extremely shorter half-life once consumed. While pterostilbene will remain active in the bloodstream for about 105 minutes, allowing for more time for its antioxidant properties to take effect, resveratrol lasts for only about 14 minutes.
