Not exhibiting is hardly a reason to be concerned, IMO. I'm sure they'll be there walking the show. It's a silly argument to say it's a bad business if they don't exhibit.

Ugh no. I have ran booth space for many events for companies. E3 is NOT where it is and no company in the world would waste their entire marketing budget over a single week. Microsoft isn't even going to release that many xbox games there and mostly focusing on xbox Live. This years E3 is supposed to be a dud until next years E3 when the new consoles are supposed to be shown.

I'd rather them take that $50,000 and use it to buy single game development rights to Spongebob, Dora, Ren & Stimpy, Futurama, or some other "B" cartoon.

They need to spend that $50k on development work on what comes after Merlin. Or at the very least use that $50k on targeted marketing on phone gamer blogs and magazines which reach even more gamers then E3.

Don't blow your entire marketing budget on E3, spread it out over at least 3 months and you'll get better exposure.
