If they are selling me shares they don't available, then it is shorting. Not the same type of shorting as where they short a stock in hopes the price goes down. That's why it shows up on the FINRA report.

I believe they filled my approx. 22 million shares over the past couple of days with phantom shares. Those shares did not exist, which is why they showed up as short shares. They sold me shares they did not have available.

I think we might be saying the same thing.
