LVWD: Interesting company, KIK, but it's hard to say what gives them a competitive edge over other Facebook specialty companies.

I like their potential good metrics with backlog, revs, earnings, etc., but it's hard to know how well they can compete in what seems to be a new niche market space.

Do you see them as bringing some business advantage to large companies that want to advertise on social networks, that is, they help eBay and Walmart and JNJ put consistent messages across multiple social networks, like Facebook and Pinterest, etc.?

KiK/SSK, re: LVWD

I have been in LVWD for a long time...too long. What we are seeing now is a big upturn for them; an overdue alignment of their business getting traction and the genre they serve (just about every business potentially) truly seeing the value of social marketing and monitoring.

Their #'s are showing the progress, the company actually has put out 2 PRs this year (!), and the volume has been outstanding in the stock. Not sure why MAXM has so many shares to sell, but we can thank him for the liquidity.

Looking forward to seeing this in the .40-.50 range at some point.

re LVWD: interesting WSJ article about "web-reputation managers" today on Page B5...

While the overall article makes the point that there are good and bad operators in this business (I'm shocked, shocked), I liked this sentence in particular...

"Small and midsize U.S. businesses are expected to spend $700 million on tech tools or platforms to monitor customer opinions on the Web over the next year, more than double the spending in the past 12 months, according to BIA/Kelsey, a Chantilly, Va., media-research firm."

This is one of LVWD's major business segments; hopefully they'll be piggy-backing on that forecasted 100+% growth over the next year...

I bought a few more LVWD today. Q2 results could come as early as next week (they reported on 8/2 last year).
