Perhaps John, the consulting engineer they hired said,"My man, if you're gonna run this equipent with the frequency you anticpate, you're gonna need a fool proof spare parts inventory."

Seems to me, part of the problem is waiting for a mechanic to show up when a breakdown occurs. once the mechanic shows up and diagnoses the problem he then orders parts, 3 days later the part shows up and then they schedule the fix. I just hope our new plant manager can/has or will hire an in house maintenance mechanic who has in inventory,Belts, barrings,& drives ECT (tools and know how). This equipment gets hammered on a daily basis. we now are building a parts inventory. To be honest i thought they had this covered long ago. You cant run a plant like this with out a maintenance man on site with parts,and expect consistent production. JMO
