According to your paradigm where God is someone who is outside, over there, and not someone who is inside over here...yes, I can understand that you believe that fear sustains. It is a primal brain notion in my paradigm.

I believe OT writings were avante garde back in the day. Language, meaning the connotations of words has greatly expanded. To convey these verses differently does not undo them. Can you imagine what these authors would say about the magic of a vehicle? Can you imagine what they would write as their interpretation of its divine indwelling? These people knew nothing of electricity. We know so much more. We are held now to a higher expression.

All sacred writings are from what I call The Fractal. This is a mathematical concept that crystalizes an idea through time and space and is time specific as to wording, ie "letter of the law" however is timeless in its interpretation, ie "spirit of the law." I can see the timelessness rise up from these words and am inspired by them, however my connotation of the word fear is much different then when it was written in these verses...or even translated from the Hebrew.

Caution is good......fear is not.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
